Father’s Day—today is filled with wishes of “父親節快樂” and “Happy Father’s Day.” After a day of joyful moments and a delicious meal, take some time before bedtime to chat with the kids and Dad at home. Let Dad feel the love and blessings from the little ones!

What can I do for Dad?
In yesterday’s class, the children worked with Teacher Jim to complete letters for their dads. While learning, they also expressed their love for Dad—a hundred thumbs up!
We hope other children can also tell their dads how much they love them—say it out loud!

Tips for Writing a Letter to Dad
1、Write the date at the beginning of the letter.
The classic format places it in the upper right corner, but modern versions, especially electronic ones, often place it in the upper left. Additionally, the UK tends to use the upper right, while the US uses the upper left.
2、For the salutation, use “Dear Dad” or “My Dear Dad.”
3、After the salutation, use a comma to indicate a pause. This is different from Chinese letters, where a colon is used after the salutation. English letters do not use a colon here.
Semicolons and colons are rarely used in English letters. Semicolons indicate parallel clauses, while commas indicate pauses, so a comma is used at the beginning of a letter.
4、In the body of the letter, write about what you enjoy doing with Dad, what you want to say to him, and let him feel your thoughts.

5、At the end of the body, don’t forget to tell Dad you love him!

6、At the closing, remember to sign your name.
For alignment, keep it consistent with the date at the beginning of the letter. In modern electronic letters, it’s common to left-align the signature, just like the date.
